CLASSIFICATION: DOC
REGION: Piemonte
AREA OF PRODUCTION: Diano d’Alba – Montelupo Albere
GRAPES: 100% Barbera
ALCOHOL: 13% vol.
COLOR: Ruby red with light purple reflections, intense, clear and bright, of good consistency.
BOUQUET: It has a broad and composite aroma: it is spicy with notes of green pepper, cinnamon and vanilla, pleasant and characteristic; at the same time, however, it is also fruity with hints of cherry, blackberry, strawberry and red fruit jam.
TASTE: The palate reveals a full and full-bodied taste, with the right acidity, with a persistent and pleasant aftertaste: therefore a well-structured wine, which keeps its peculiarities and typicality tight and which is precisely why it is appreciated and sought after.
FOOD PAIRINGS: At the table it proves to be an undoubtedly versatile wine: it is easy to find it young and fragrant in association with simple and even rustic dishes such as cured meats, appetizers and first courses of poor and tasty cuisine. At the same time, it is very common to come across his presence as an important wine for second course dishes of a certain value, for example in combination with stewed or braised red meat recipes, with well-seasoned and tasty cheeses.
